Maja Bengtson has worked with personal growth, communication and leadership development since 1991. In coaching and training, she integrates her presence of heart and strategic-creative mind with a well informed understanding of human dynamics.

Maja holds an M. A. in Clinical Psychology, with an individual specialization in Conflict Resolution and Organization Development, from JFK University in CA. Her B.Sc. from Lund, Sweden is in Psychology and Communication.

Maja is an Integral Coach (R), and has worked extensively with Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Maja’s perspective on the world and human beings is deeply informed by Principled Nonviolence (“what Gandhi taught”), a holistic understanding of Trauma and Neuroscience, along with a perspective of “unity of all life” derived from her life experiences and spiritual path.

As a Founder, Co-founder, Board member and Manager of a range of businesses, associations, and nonprofit groups since the mid 1980s, Maja has significant experience in servant leadership, strategic planning, group decision making, project management, and nonprofit development.

Maja is a dedicated practitioner of Sahaj Marg Meditation [more known as Heartfulness], enjoys Soul Motion and other conscious dance practices, and is proud to have a trans young adult person continue to call her “bonus Mom”. She was part of Berkeley Co-Housing (intentional residential community) from 2008 to 2026.
