to a life
where we all can fit in

fire in the soul
passion for
knowing
the highest
most profound
notion
– a unified field of all of existence

fire on the ground
people being
threatened
is it on purpose?
another way of mocking
those protecting their
rights?

human rights
treaty rights
earth rights

fire in my heart
finally finding framework
a way to understand
my vulnerability
to bullying
the temptation then
for others to abuse

fire in my feet
dancing til
grounded and
able to feel
this age-old grief
this everyday oppression
of peoples
of races
of women
of me

fire in my mind
cognitive dissonance
what man-kind is capable of
what man-kind is made of
not lining up

fire
of warfare
driving out civilians
from the place they call
home

fire
attempts to control
free spirits
who are connected to all
standing on sacred ground
praying for life on this planet
to go on

fire
this morning
helping me see
with fury and love
what is there
