why not
drill for water
build pipelines
for sharing
life
giving
resource

wondering how
we reached this
place
of distortion?

in truth
we cannot eat money
we cannot drink oil

we cannot survive
without nature
without one another

First Nations
showing us
showing the world
how to stick to what’s
sacred
life giving
and
universal

if we all were to join
and organize around
just this one
single issue
to protect all water

make decisions
change the laws
arrange our living
around
one vision
of clean water
for everyone

then what would our world look like?
